Messe Stuttgart launches new exhibition in May 2014

With the new HALAL EXPO STUTTGART, Messe Stuttgart will offer the first trade fair for all products and services conforming to fundamental Islamic principles.

The new exhibition, is going to take place from 25-27 May 2014 in the International Congress Centre Stuttgart and will include a food and beverage segment as well as non-food producers, for example pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, and companies from the areas of technology, financing and the service industry.

The German speaking halal market is comprised of approximately 5 million Muslim consumers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. According to experts the sales figures for halal products in Germany amounts to around 4-5 billion Euro per year. Currently there are around 400 halal oriented companies in Germany; in Europe a total of over 4,000 products conform to the Islamic rules.

With an Islamic population of around 5-6%, Baden-Württemberg and its capital Stuttgart, in this respect, are among the leading regions in Germany.
